Cue, the first learning robot designed to teach real, multifunctional code at any level of experience, takes learning to code to a whole new level. Designed for kids 10 and above, Cue engages intuitively with text-based communication. The free Cue app is compatible with iOS, Android, Chromebooks, and Windows 10 operating systems, allowing users to learn actual Microsoft MakeCode language with both block-based and text-based code.
Cue's primary task is communication, and it is ready to talk to users straight out of the box. It gives simple commands to test all its sensors, and with a vocabulary of over 170,000 words and 30,000 text responses, users might be surprised by its sense of humor, as it can joke or chat. Seamlessly, users can switch between four different avatars for Cue, each with unique personalities and a different set of challenges to keep things interesting.
Users can link sequences of code together using Cue's proximity sensors, microphones, speaker, and LEDs, or work freeform with seek, avoid, and explore commands. Cue is Bluetooth-enabled and can be easily directed with both voice commands or an on-screen joystick from compatible devices.
In addition to Cue, Wonder Workshop has also included Wonder, a state-machine-based language designed specifically for their robots, allowing users to dive deeper into robotics concepts like decision making, handling sensor data, and performing tasks in parallel.
Cue comes with a rechargeable ion battery, providing 30+ hours of play on a 1-hour charge, enabling endless STEM learning. Unlike any other robot, Cue is an engagingly sophisticated learning robot that will inspire hours of creative problem-solving, catering to both beginning and advanced coders.
At Wonder Workshop, the belief is that tech should be an open canvas for exploration and collaboration. They offer a supportive and challenging community with regular Wonder Workshops and robot competitions, helping kids build their skills and creativity. Cue is used in over 20,000 classrooms worldwide, allowing kids to work solo or come together for fantastic group coding projects.
